Echo Park Trash Club Code of Conduct

As a one-time or frequent Echo Park Trash Club (EPTC) volunteer, I commit to the Club’s code of conduct.

Code of conduct:

  • EPTC has a zero-tolerance policy against harassment, bullying, and/or discriminatory behavior toward other volunteers and community members based on their housing status, sex, gender, sexual orientation, race, class, (dis)ability, religious belief (or lack of), age or any other protected characteristic.

  • Examples include but are not limited to:

    • Micro- and macro-aggressions

    • Unwanted, repeated sexual and romantic advances/commentary

    • Flagrant disregard for personal space and/or physical belongings

    • Physical violence

  • This applies to volunteers, community partners, donors, and other potential stakeholders.

As part of this commitment, I:

  • Understand and acknowledge the EPTC zero-tolerance policy.

  • Understand and acknowledge that continued violation of this commitment may result in an invitation not to return to EPTC events.

  • Understand and acknowledge that harassment or discriminatory behavior that takes place outside of Club activities may also impact EPTC participation.

  • Understand and acknowledge that continued violation may result in legal action.
